Worlds

"Each friend represents a different world within us, a world possibly not born until they arrive and it is only by meeting that a new world is born"
This quote lead me to wonder, what happens to that world when your friendship ends? Does it become uninhabitable because of emotional pollution and reisdue of harsh words?
Do we destroy worlds within us when a frienship ends?
Or do we just grow out of that world? Is it still a part of us but just not as prominant as before?
I think that once a world within us is created it is impossible to destroy, it always effects us and is a part of who we are. But perhaps when the freinship is over it's a part of us in the way that is minimal, hidden, or not apparent. Perhaps its a part of us in the sense we've learned lessons from that person.
But what happens when we try to purposely destroy that world? Is that even possible, is that just the equivalent of not accepting ourself?
When we don't accept ourself maybe its just us not accepting the part of us we don't like and the part of us we don't like is just certain worlds. Do we cut people out who show us a part of ourselve we don't like?
